THE POWER OF REGULAR EXERCISE
Every day, we all wake up to meet our daily routine—bathe, head out to make money, come back to sleep, and repeat the same pattern daily. We no longer prioritise our health than to sabotage it. We only pay attention to our health when we are feeling ill.
As individuals, we should learn to prioritise our health. Someone once said, "Health is wealth." One of the physical activities we can engage in is exercise. Want to feel better and have more energy before or after heading out for your daily routine? Just exercise.
Do you know that regular exercise reduces the risks of having many serious diseases like diabetes and cancer? Do you know regular exercise can extend your life span? Haven't you heard that regular exercise increases the efficiency of sleep?
Some of the benefits of regular exercise include:
1️⃣ Improves cardiovascular health: It improves cholesterol levels, lowers blood pressure, and reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke.
2️⃣ It reduces anxiety and the risk of depression.
3️⃣It increases your chances of living longer: This was proven by strong scientific evidence presented by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
4️⃣ It improves sleep quality and deep sleep, thereby reducing the need for sleep medication.
5️⃣ It prevents excess weight gain or keeps off lost weight.
Small changes lead to a better tomorrow. Start now, not tomorrow. You might not necessarily visit the gym, but you can set up a gym arena in your house to exercise daily.
If you can't set up one, practice common physical exercises like jogging, watch online videos, and keep fit. Don't forget your health is your priority.
