I STILL MISSED THE BUS

I STILL MISSED THE BUS

I STILL MISSED MY BUS!!I had a very funny experience this morning going to work.I got up from bed by 4:29 am after talking to my God because I want to meet the staff bus. (The lemons that life threw my way). I went to ease myself and ran to the kitchen to prepare breakfast and lunch to appease my belly. After, cutting, peeling, grating, breaking, whisking all the foodstuffs I had placed on the counter top the previous night to aid my preparations today because I must not miss the bus, I put the food on fire. (Guess the meal😜).I checked my time, I was still right on track. I went to the bathroom to do the number 2 and have my bath. I took my phone along🙄, that was a mistake. As I sat down, I began to reply to all my messages from WhatsApp and send some important messages. I was smiling, laughing, typing, very carried away, I forgot to check time until my alarm rang out.The label reads 'LEAVE THIS HOUSE!' I have my alarm set up for each day's activities. For the morning I have;1. 'Wake up!'2. 'WAKE UP NOW!!!' (should in case wake up is not able to wake me up),3. 'LEAVE THIS HOUSE!' All because I must follow the staff bus which leaves exactly 6:30 am (the Bus Marshall doesn't listen to 'wait for me, I'm close by'). I know it takes me 45 minutes to get to the bus location In the morning; 10 minutes trekking to the bus stop, 10 minutes max wait for maruwa or bike, 15 minutes to get to garage, 10 minutes to walk to bus location.😓What?! Leave the house ke, I jumped up, rushed to have my bath, dressed up and went to finish up in the kitchen 😔 I couldn't make breakfast again, I returned the plantains I wanted to fry but I packed my lunch.I carried my bag, dashed out of the house and put off my slippers that had heels and started running like I was being chased. One of my neighbours was in front of her house, I don't know what she came out to do, as she saw me running in the dark without shoes, she shouted 'daddy what did you say, what did you say' as she hurried to their door, make the thing wey dey run and the thing wey dey pursue me know say she no dey alone. 😂😂Smiling, I continued to run till I almost got to the bus stop, I saw one transporter just coming out with korope, I told him - 'garage' he opened the front door and I entered and wore my slippers, I couldn't wash my legs.We moved till we got to the junction, na so this man turned to the opposite direction going to Abule to fill up his vehicle. In my mind, I was like 'oh my God, when will I get out like this'.We saw a colleague of mine on the road, na so she carry face, driver said she no dey go, I said it's because she want to take bike so as to get to the bus on time. The man was considerate and stopped a tricycle for me to enter as we moved forward because according to him, he can't rush, na money he used to buy fuel (we didn't see a motorcycle, I still saw my colleague at the bus stop as we zoomed past).I was looking at my time and praying, you know that kind of prayer that you will pray knowing fully well that it won't happen because God can't waste time on rubbish but you'll still say the prayers. 'If only this man will speed, fly, disappear, do whatever to get me to the garage at the nick of time'😔You know what, I got to garage exactly at 6:30am😔I missed the bus, after waking up early, dropping breakfast, running, changing vehicles, and all the prayers. I just slowed down my pace, branched to the terminal and joined the queue to board the bus, I had to use my money to fund my T-fare in this Tinubu economy, I joined another vehicle again till I got to my destination.I had to reflect on this, what happened?I woke up early I was initially checking the timeWhy did I still miss it?The answer: A moment of distractionThe Holy spirit gave me a lesson there; We all have a goal, getting to heaven at the end of the day.We might have given our lives to Christ years ago.We still have to watch and prayLet the Word of God, the Holy Spirit and the inspired words of the Holy Spirit through his ministers guide us and keep us awake.Checking our lives constantly, daily if we're still in tune with God is very important.Prevent any form of distractions on your Christian journey. The devil will bring distractions in several ways possible, some might even be legit unsinful😶.But we should hold our stand, if all things are lawful, not all are expedient. The Christian race is personal, don't join yourself with another because he or she is a so-called Christian. Our past works of carefulness, duties, activities, achievements in the kingdom cannot save us, it's our current relationship with God that matters, we can't cut corners or avoid this. When death comes or the trumpet sounds, God will not listen to any plea or prayers, it'll be too late then.If we miss the bus of grace, we'll pay the price and that dearly with our sweat and blood.Do all necessary not to miss the bus every moment.See what happened to the 5 unwise virgins in Matthew 25:1-13.Watch and PrayMay God help us not to be caught unawaresMay God take us home.Amen.PS: As for the woman running from fear, I did not know oMaybe God will tell you something from there© Yahweh's DaughterAderibigbe Praise Oluwaseyi.
