Drugs: A Gift and a Curse

A drug is any chemical substance — other than a nutrient or essential dietary ingredient — which, when administered to a living organism, produces a biological effect.

Drugs can be consumed in various ways: inhalation, injection, smoking, ingestion, absorption through a skin patch, as a suppository, or by dissolution under the tongue.

Drugs are not only beneficial to mankind but also to animals.

Drugs are both a gift and a curse.

Gifts are items or substances given voluntarily without the expectation of something in return. A gift can also be intangible — love, rights, ideas, services — things that cannot be physically touched, yet hold immense value.

In the same way, drugs were initially a curse before they became considered a gift to humanity.

A curse — known as an imprecation, malediction, or commination — is any expressed wish that adversity or misfortune befalls someone. A curse manifests both spiritually and physically, often through sickness, death, or persistent misfortune.

Many people embrace the use of drugs as a gift, but the reality remains: drug use often carries the mark of a curse.

A curse is not only an enchantment or spell; it is anything that causes lasting harm.

Anyone who relies on drugs cannot truly claim health. Though drugs are prescribed with the goal of promoting wellness, in truth, they attach the user to a hidden predicament — an unfortunate and often worsening state.

As long as drug dependence persists, genuine health remains out of reach.

True healing begins only when drug dependence ends.
